Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs grants are utilized to support leadership development skills and defray operating costs including:

18 Key Leader program grants to high school students
Reduced registration costs to Key Club and CKI  attendees at district conventions
CKI college scholarships through the CKI Alumni Association

Attendance and educational experiences at board meetings

Entire operating cost of the Aktion Club

In October 2011, Florida Kiwanis Foundation sponsored an SLP Advisor training forum in Cocoa Beach. 97 participants were taught tips, tricks, and techniques by International's Senior Director of Kiwanis Programs, John Shertzer.  Asked to complete a survey after the two day event, 87% of the participants responding to the question of overall rating gave the reply of Above Average or Outstanding.
90% stated they were glad they attended and would recommend the conference to others.  85%  said they now had a better understanding of Kiwanis's role in it's SLP programs.
