The
Florida Kiwanis Foundation is the fund raising entity of
the Florida District of Kiwanis International with the
objective to provide an endowment fund to which clubs
and individual members can contribute gifts and
bequests.
The
Florida Kiwanis Foundation is governed by a Board
of Trustees. One Trustee is elected from each division
within the Florida district. They serve for a two year
term on a staggered basis.
The
Board of Trustees elects six Administrative Officers of
the Foundation. These officers serve for a one year
term.
The Board
of Trustees, with advice of legal and financial counsel
oversees the process of raising, investing, and
distributing funds to ensure that donor gifts receive
proper attention and are used for intended purposes.
Because
of significant growth, more funds are needed to ensure the
continued success of the youth programs that teach
leadership skills - all vital to the future of Kiwanis youth.
